I love the fact that the programs are online as I am located in LA and I am a full-time teacher so it would be very convenient. I am just hesitant to do online school. I am eager to learn more about the format and the communication between students and professors.

@Dena- We can go over some of the OL info for you. The good news is the OL programs are great. You can get the support and feedback you need, especially if you ae actively seeking the feedback.

@Sofia- We do not have a deadline but when you do apply we generally want to help you solidify all of your items in a short and sweet manner so your enrollment process and paperwork doesn't have to drag on.

I am looking for the better of the 2 with NAAB certifications

@Sofia- I always encourage students to apply earlier than later so it's easier to pick out classes while they are open and available and also have a longer runway to collect supplies and items they may need for school.

@Brandi- If you are full time taking an MA- 36 units. Most students take 9 units in Fall, 9 units Spring, 6 Units in Summer= 24 units year (Just an examples because students start at all times during the year). So a full-time student would be able to complete an MA in 1 1/2-2yrs

Both the MA and the MFA of Game Development are split into various game dev disciplines. Do incoming students have an opportunity to sample a core set of classes before deciding which discipline to pursue?

Im planning on going into advertising and looked at the degree plan of the MA and MFA would you still say that the MFA is best for backgrounds outside of art ?

okay thank you i'm doing film right now in my undergrad

I have an MA in English, and have been teaching at a university for almost a decade. I am 42 year old with the goal of adding the terminal degree and developing fine art and design skills that could support a career “pivot” and some of my current multi-discipline goals as a professor. Are there other students in this “later in life” population? I am also very interested in mural and community arts.

I definitely want to pursue a MA in photography and I feel confident in my ability to succeed as a student, but I was wondering if I should ALSO obtain a certificate in marketing or business since I don’t feel confident in my ability to succeed post-graduation (even though this is a passion of mine)
