Will our instructors be tasked with supporting students in how to install/configure Zoom in order to access their class meeting? Or have students been informed directly on how to do this?

When you decided to record us, my computer froze and is still frozen. I can’t even reboot. I’m using my phone now. But...my computer!?!

You will send them the address to your zoom room but the helpdesk will be able to assist students if the need help with zoom set up.

Students will be sent resources to guide them through the technical set up. Helpdesk will also be able to help.

@Brad, they can do that, and also place it in their Profile. They can also email the students the link to make sure they do not miss it.

Kevin will cover that but yes on your class home page in the LMS is a great place to post your zoom room link.

No, your link is about you as host. When you or anyone joins a meeting through a link the HOST LINK is what is important

That’s a great idea to post your link in your Profile — be mindful, however, that OS students will likely not be familiar with the LMS environments…and certainly not to the degree OL students are familiar

@ Nana, think of your Meeting ID as your "room". You open it as if you are opening your classroom. Students go there as if they are going into your room. You always have this room to hold meetings. It is a virtual space dedicated for your class to meet.

@Scott, you can do it that way too. Once they have it, they can always go back to that same link to get in your class. You may still want to post it in the LMS too, so they have more than one place to find it.

I don't see having a guest speaker being a problem. As long as they are approved as any other speaker would be.

Make sure you close anything you’d rather not share with your students.

I believe to allow remote takeover , you have to be in sharescreen, then there is an option to give remote control to someone.

MFA 2D Animation has been using the LMS onsite for a few semesters now already :)

Or someone can request remote control. once you are sharing the screen. Click the view options button next to the green screen share button at the top.
